1. Why this page exists

This page discloses how Athenoir moderates content on the Platform, in line with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA)'s baseline transparency and notice-and-action obligations. It is a factual summary, not a marketing page.

2. What can be reported

Any visitor — whether or not they have an Athenoir account — can report an artwork listing, a magazine article, or an artist profile. A "Report" action is available on every artwork, article, and artist profile page. Reports can be filed under one of four categories:

• Counterfeit or misrepresented (e.g. a listing misstates authorship, authenticity, or condition)
• Intellectual property infringement
• Illegal content
• Other (free text)

3. How reports are handled

1. A report is submitted through the reporting form and recorded in our moderation queue.
2. A moderator (a member of our curation or compliance team) reviews the report against the reported content and our policies.
3. The moderator records a decision — upheld or rejected — and, if the report is upheld, may unpublish the reported item.
4. The reporter who submitted the report receives an email notifying them of the outcome.

We do not disclose the identity of reporters to the parties they report, and we do not disclose the identity of reported parties to reporters beyond what was already publicly visible.

4. Average handling time

Athenoir does not yet have a full year of notice-and-action volume to report a statistically meaningful average. Our internal target is to reach a decision on a report within 5 business days of submission. We will replace this target with actual measured handling-time data once we have enough report volume to report it honestly.

5. Trader traceability

Artists and galleries selling through the Platform complete an identity verification process (KYC) before reaching higher transaction-value tiers. Traders who have completed Tier 2 identity verification (ID check) or above display a "Verified Seller" indicator on their public profile and listings.

6. Sponsored content

Articles in the Athenoir Magazine that are sponsored placements carry a persistent "Sponsored" label, distinct from our editorial content, wherever they are displayed — in list views, on the article page, and anywhere else they are featured.

7. File a report

Use the "Report" action on the relevant artwork, article, or artist profile page. If you cannot locate the specific item, or need to reach us for another reason, contact legal@athenoir.com.
